The D2W  Technology is an environmentally responsible solution to plastic pollution. This technology turns ordinary plastic into an end material that is biodegradable.

This study assesses the life cycle environmental impacts of the production, use and disposal of different carrier bags for the UK.

An impact assessment was conducted to assess the bags over 11 environmental impact categories including global warming potential (carbon footprint), abiotic resource depletion (use of non-renewable resources such as oil and metals), and litter.

This report gives a snapshot of the environmental impacts of the current overall mix of plastic packaging in several categories, and the environmental impacts of the overall mix of alternative types of packaging that might be used as substitutes.

There is considerable debate as to the extent to which plastics intended to be biodegradable do actually biodegrade in the natural environment.
